Lead end-to-end delivery of building projects across the Shire
Permanent full time | Wonthaggi
$107,815 per annum plus superannuation

ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager – Buildings and Open Space to lead the planning, design and delivery of a diverse portfolio of building construction, renovation and renewal projects. Working within the Infrastructure Services team, this role is responsible for managing projects end-to-end, from scope development and tendering through to construction and handover, ensuring all works meet strict legislative, safety, quality, budget and timeframe requirements.

You'll provide high-level technical advice to internal stakeholders, contractors and consultants, oversee contracts and funding agreements, manage project risks and planning schedules, and contribute to continuous improvement across project delivery. The role also includes mentoring staff and supporting knowledge sharing across the organisation.

A BIT ABOUT YOU:

You're a confident and capable project management professional with substantial experience delivering building and open space projects, ideally within a local government environment. You bring strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of building legislation, and the ability to manage complex projects.

You will have:
A tertiary qualification in building construction, engineering or a related discipline
Significant experience delivering building and open space construction, maintenance and operational projects
Proven expertise in project and contract management, including managing contractors and consultants
Extensive knowledge of relevant building legislation, codes and regulatory requirements
Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
