About the Role St Peters Lutheran College Springfield is seeking a dedicated and experienced Certificate III/IV qualified Teaching Assistant (Primary) to work collaboratively with classroom teachers and the Head of Primary Years to support high-quality teaching and learning. This role involves assisting with classroom activities, supervising students, and contributing to a nurturing, inclusive environment that promotes the academic, social, emotional, and physical development of all students. The successful applicant will play a key role in fostering positive, respectful, and trusting relationships with students and their families. This is a Permanent Part-time position, working 19 hours in a week for 40 weeks in a years during school Terms. Key Responsibilities As a Primary Years Teaching Assistant, your role includes but is not limited to: Support teachers in delivering engaging learning experiences and preparing classroom resources. Under teacher guidance work with individual students and small groups to support literacy, numeracy, and inquiry learning and provide targeted support with diverse learning. Supervise students across classrooms, activities, and excursions to ensure safety and wellbeing. Assist with the administration of assessment, classroom organisation, transitions, and day-to-day tasks.
