**About the opportunity**
As the **Project Officer**at the University of Sydney's **Net Zero Institute (NZI)**, you'll play a central role in supporting the delivery of high-profile internal events, government and industry visits, that contribute to the University's mission for a sustainable, decarbonised future.
These two part-time roles are ideal for highly organised, proactive professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy working collaboratively. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders and executives, as well as the broader team, to manage logistics, coordinate internal briefings, liaise with external visitors, and ensure seamless execution of events and initiatives. You'll also support communications and maintain internal systems and records that underpin NZI's growing impact.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- work in a dynamic and cohesive team environment reporting into the Chief Operating Officer, Net Zero Institute
- coordinate and host internal events, industry visits and delegations, including preparing schedules, meeting rooms, catering and materials
- liaise with internal and external stakeholders, providing professional visitor support and guidance across labs, events and meetings
- maintain internal systems and records, including inbox management, stakeholder lists, memberships, file organisation, purchasing and invoicing
**About you**
- strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- clear written and verbal communication with a professional and culturally aware approach
- confidence engaging with senior stakeholders, executives and international visitors
- A proactive, flexible attitude and willingness to contribute across the team
- experience in admin coordination, events communications, preferably in a university or research environment.
