Care companion (personal carer)

Remuneration: $36.32 p/hr + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging (Increases your take home pay) + Penalties & Allowances + Employee discounts

Join our team at our 102-bed Sunrise Beach aged care home, where we focus on personalised, resident-first care. Working within a small household model, you'll help create a warm, connected environment that supports independence, choice and wellbeing. As a Care Companion, you'll provide care to your residents in accordance with the household model of care, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life through activities that include:

• Daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, help at mealtimes, general mobility and laundry
• Providing care in accordance with their individualized Care Plan
• Supporting community-based recreational and social activities
• Advocating for residents while providing choice, fostering skills and encouraging engagement

• Certificate III Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability Support, or an equivalent qualification
• Experience with technology including smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.
• Confidence to satisfy relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
• NDIS Workers Screening or willingness to obtain
