The Construction & General Division of the CFMEU is Australia's main trade union in the building and construction industries.
Our team boasts membership across private, ACT government, and Federal Government sectors.
* Preparation, management, and advocacy for appearances or instructing in courts or the Fair Work Commission will be a key responsibility.
* Providing expert legal advice and assistance to members, organisers and executives regarding industrial and employment law matters.
* Interfacing with regulatory authorities (e.g. Fair Work Commission, WorkSafe ACT, Secure Local Jobs Registrar) will also be crucial.
Broad Responsibilities:
* Manage all aspects of case preparation and advocacy for court appearances or instructing at the Fair Work Commission.
* Offer professional guidance and support on complex industrial and employment law issues to our members, organisers, and executives.
* Collaborate effectively with various stakeholders including regulatory bodies (Fair Work Commission, WorkSafe ACT, Secure Local Jobs Registrar).
