As a proud Australian manufacturer, we produce high-quality textiles for the Defence Force, Healthcare, Fashion, Swimwear, Underwear, Activewear, and Apparel sectors. With increasing demand, we're expanding our team and looking for a skilled Dye House Operator to join us at our Bowden facility.
About the Role:
We're seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in dyeing circular knitted fabrics. This full-time position involves overseeing daily operations in our dye house, including quality control and lab management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate soft flow jet dyeing with experience on knitted cotton, wool, polyester and nylon fabrics
* Operate and maintain a 5-bay stenter
* Manage and lead the dye lab team to ensure consistent, high-quality output
* Oversee dyeing processes tailored for various apparel applications
* Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
* Collaborate with production and R&D on colour matching and fabric testing
Requirements:
* Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in a dye house environment
* Expertise in dyeing circular knitted fabrics
* Experience operating a stenter and auto dye machinery
* Strong leadership and quality control skills
* Ability to optimise dyeing processes and troubleshoot issues
