In partnership with the Australian Defence Force, we are currently seeking a Food and Beverage Attendant to join the team at Anglesea Barracks (Hobart)
This is a full-time, permanent position operating across a 7-day roster. The hourly rate is $ Super
Duties Include:
1. Support and implement Ventia's Food Safety Program, including hazard identification, control measures, and incident recording.
2. Clean, sanitize, and maintain equipment, furniture, and premises, reporting necessary repairs.
3. Provide exceptional customer service, including bar service, POS operation, meal ordering, and general cleaning.
4. Apply HACCP controls to manage food safety hazards.
5. Wash crockery, cutlery, glassware, and cooking utensils as required.
6. Process meals in the system, handle cash per protocols, and report suspicious behaviour.
7. Assist with basic food preparation and cooking duties.
8. Manage stock, including rotation, labelling, restocking, and stock-taking.
9. Ensure bar services comply with Responsible Service of Alcohol Standards.
10. Assist with customer complaints and resolutions.
11. Maintain and update Mess signage and notice boards.
12. Complete all required training.
13. Deliver meals and catering services.
About You:
14. Basic Food Handler Certificate (training provided by employer)
15. Current RSA certification
16. Knowledge of Food Safety Standards, relevant legislation, and statutory obligations
17. Understanding of Defence Force operations (desirable)
18. Experience in food and beverage service
19. Strong customer service commitment
20. Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills
21. Ability to work flexibly in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment
22. You must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to maintain a Defence clearance in order to be eligible for this position, as well as be able to pass an Australian Federal Police Check.
