Ivory's Rock is seeking a proactive and reliable Facilities Officer to support our Facilities Manager in the day-to-day operations and upkeep of our extraordinary 1700-acre rural venue south of Ipswich. With facilities including an amphitheatre, conference hall, campgrounds, guest cabins, and the infrastructure to support these, this role is ideal for someone who is practical and enjoys working outdoors.
About the Role:
This hands-on position involves general site maintenance, basic repairs, supporting infrastructure operations, and assisting with event setup during busy periods. You'll be part of a collaborative, friendly team committed to maintaining a high standard across our unique venue.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct regular inspections and perform minor repairs
* Assist in operating and maintaining site infrastructure
* Monitor and log readings of site utilities
* Support contractors and volunteer teams
* Respond to maintenance requests efficiently
* Support the set up and take down of events hosted at our venue
* Promote safe work practices and report hazards promptly
What we are looking for:
* Proven experience in a facilities or maintenance role
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Basic computer skills
* Must have own reliable transport to travel to the venue
