We are a luxury bridal alterations atelier seeking a talented and detail-oriented seamstress to join our studio. This role offers a rare opportunity to work with exquisitely crafted bridal gowns while developing advanced skills under the guidance of a Head Designer with over 20 years of industry experience.
This position is ideal for a fashion student or recent graduate who is passionate about craftsmanship, precision, and the artistry of bridal wear.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will assist with bridal gown alterations and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of the atelier.
Duties include:
* Assisting with bridal and formalwear alterations
* Sewing hems, bodice adjustments, sleeves, straps, and fit refinements
* Working with delicate and luxury fabrics including lace, tulle, silk, satin, micado and beaded details
* Supporting fittings and accurately following alteration instructions
* Ensuring the highest level of care for couture and bespoke garments
* Light administrative support, including appointment preparation, basic client records, garment tracking, and studio organisation
About you:
* Studying or recently graduated in Fashion Design, Dressmaking, or Textiles
* Confident with industrial and domestic sewing machines
* Strong understanding of garment construction and fit
* Exceptional attention to detail and respect for luxury garments
* Calm, professional, and discreet when working with clients
