The Role
Based in Jandakot, Omni's Fixed Wing operations team is seeking an experienced Quality and Safety Officer to join our highly skilled and diverse team. The salary for this role will commence at $92,000 and be negotiable based on skills and experience.
The Quality and Safety Officer will manage flying, maintenance and engineering operational processes and systems to ensure the workplace is safe, healthy and enables optimal employee performance.
Role responsibilities include overseeing the operation of the quality and safety systems, ensuring continuous improvement, providing regular reporting to relevant aviation managers regarding the effectiveness of the quality and safety functions, and the conduct of audits.
The Quality and Safety Officer reports to the Head of Flight Operations and is accountable for the successful delivery of Omni's fixed wing flying requirements for its clients.

Our ideal candidate will be an appropriately qualified and experienced aviation industry professional who is currently employed within the industry and has a good understanding of the regulatory environment.
* Four (4) years' minimum experience in the aviation industry.
* Held and maintained a Quality or Safety role within industry for more than 12 months or have completed a recognised Aviation Safety Course.
* Knowledge of aviation industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
* A high degree of integrity and a commitment to confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
* Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and meet objectives and targets for our clients.
* High standard of technical writing skills.
* A strong commitment to upholding Omni's values and ethical standards.
Essential Requirements
* Be an Australian Citizen.
* Hold a current Australian Government Security Clearance or be willing to obtain one (NV1 minimum).
* Ability to work with minimal supervision.
* Have excellent communication, negotiation and relationship building skills.
* Perform tasks with an emphasis on duty of care to self and other employees.
* Experience in utilising online aviation technical data management and computer literate skills.
In addition, it is desirable for this role:
* Certificate level qualification in quality and/or safety.
* Lead auditor qualified.
* Advanced MS Office skills.
