The Northern Land Council (NLC) is seeking two skilled Project Coordinators to join our Regional Development Group, supporting land use and development activities on Aboriginal land across the NLC region. This role plays a critical coordination and project administration function, supporting the management of Land Use Expressions of Interest and Land Use Agreements under section 19 and section 19A of the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976 (ALRA).
About the Role
Based within the Regional Operations Team, the Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating project administration and engagement activities associated with third‐party land use proposals on Aboriginal land. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team – including Legal, Anthropology, GIS and Regional staff – you will support the assessment of proponents and proposals, coordinate consultation processes, and assist in progressing land use matters efficiently and compliantly. The role involves close engagement with Traditional Owners, Aboriginal groups, government, community service providers and industry stakeholders, and includes coordination of meetings, travel, logistics and reporting. Regular regional and remote travel is a core component of the position.

You are an organised and confident project professional with experience coordinating complex projects in regulated or community-focused environments. You bring strong communication skills, cultural awareness and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail. You enjoy working collaboratively across disciplines, leading negotiations and consultations, and producing high-quality documentation that supports informed decision‐making.
In addition, you will have
* A Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Management or a related field, or at least four (4) years relevant experience in project coordination, land management or a related sector
* Minimum two (2) years' practical experience coordinating project administration activities, supporting negotiations, consultations, conflict resolution and meeting facilitation
* Experience in financial administration, including budgeting, cost recovery and corporate card management
* Sound written communication skills, including previous experience in the preparation of submissions, briefs and reports

We Offer
* A base salary $115,194 per annum plus 15% superannuation and salary sacrificing up to $15,900, plus Meal Entertainment and Holiday Accommodation benefits up to $2,650 per year

* District allowance of up to $4,884 per annum DA2 for individuals with dependents and $2,678 DA1 without dependents
