About the Role

We are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to provide engineering and technical support, with a focus on mechanical systems, equipment and installations. This position plays a key role in coordinating between design, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to achieve successful project outcomes.

This is a BIBO position from Perth to the WA Mid West on 8:6 roster.

Responsibilities

* Provide guidance off and onsite via technical understanding of project work scopes.
* Liaise with Engineers, Technicians, and Engineering Managers to determine scheduling and management of resources.
* Monitor safe execution of the project.
* Provide project reporting on progress, commercial, schedule, etc.
* Perform quality checks on project work, including coordination with third party inspection if required.
* Ensure approval of correct and timely paperwork for a seamless monthly billing process.
* Ensure project schedules are current, QA documentation is reviewed and transmitted to client.
* Complete project RFI, TQ and NCRs, and maintain registers.
* Ensure all testing equipment is calibrated with register maintained.
* Scope new projects and assist with technical input, sourcing of supplier pricing, quoting of work.

About you

* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* 3 years+ in a similar role.
* Strong technical skills with proficiency in structural steel assembly and fixings.
* Commercial experience with preparation of delays/variation claims.
* Ability to complete pre-Engineering for one or more disciplines, specify equipment, perform relevant work, organise field personnel into working teams and plan a safe execution of a project.
* Ability to read and interpret Civil and Mechanical drawings.
* Good communication skills.
