Your new role
As a Finance Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the Chief Financial Officer with the financial management of the organisation and its associated entities. This position offers flexibility, available as either full-time or part-time, and can be structured as a temporary or permanent opportunity depending on your career goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing daily financial transactions and reporting
- Preparing and analysing financial statements
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
- Preparing end-of-month financials for management
- Collaborating across departments to improve financial processes
- Conducting audits and reviews to ensure data accuracy and integrity
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you'll need a degree in Accounting or Finance, or solid experience in a similar position. You're confident with MYOB and Excel, understand job costing, and know your way around industry awards like SCHADS, AGED, and NURSES. You're a clear communicator, great with numbers, and have a sharp eye for detail. If you're working towards a CA, CPA, or ACCA, even better. Most importantly, you're organised, proactive, and can juggle priorities without missing a beat.
Additional requirements:
- Ability to obtain a Working with Children (Blue Card)
- Ability to obtain NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
