The Role
The Marine HSE Advisor plays a pivotal role in promoting safety excellence within Cruise Whitsundays and beyond. This dynamic position involves crafting robust procedures, refining work practices, and ensuring compliance with essential Australian Standards, safety legislation, regulations, and corporate benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as ICAM Lead Investigator for health, safety, and environmental incidents
* Coach and educate staff on health, safety, and environmental practices
* Coordinate bi-yearly Marine Advisory Safety Committee meetings
* Engage in Project Management Teams to ensure alignment of safety and change management
* Organise and facilitate maritime safety, security, and WHS training
* Support Injury Management system and work closely with Corporate Injury Management Advisor
* Promote a positive safety culture and champion Journey Lightly philosophy
About You
We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Marine HSE Advisor who is passionate about safety and environmental management. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in health, safety, and environmental management, with proven experience in implementing safety frameworks in a marine setting.
Requirements
* Master < 25m (required) - Master < 45m (desirable)
* Cert IV Occupational Health and Safety (desirable)
* Cert IV Workplace Training and Assessing (desirable)
* ICAM Lead Investigator
* Lead Auditor (desirable)
* Designated Person Ashore training (desirable)
