Be part of the team developing the software behind Cummins' industry-leading products. In this applied technology role, you'll collaborate with stakeholders to turn requirements into high-quality software that controls and enhances real-world equipment. From design through to testing and release, your work will play a key role in powering solutions used by customers worldwide.
This role is based in Perth WA, going into the office 1 day a week once training and induction is completed. It will begin with full time onsite.
International travel will be required when needed.
Impact Areas
* Design and build scalable data pipelines that bring together data from multiple systems and sources
* Develop and support modern data platforms and cloud-based solutions that power analytics and business insights
* Monitor and maintain data quality to ensure reliable, accurate and trusted information across the platform
* Help shape data governance practices including access, security and lifecycle management
* Optimise and troubleshoot data pipelines and databases to improve performance and efficiency
* Work with a collaborative engineering team using modern tools and agile practices to continuously improve the data environment
Qualifications & Responsibilities
* Proven track record in solving complex technical problems
* Hands‐on experience building and managing cloud-based data platforms, preferably in AWS
* Proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark/Java or C# and experience designing scalable data pipelines
* Familiarity with data modelling, data warehousing methodologies, and modern tools like DBT, Athena, or Snowflake
* Experience with CI/CD processes, infrastructure‐as‐code tools, or delivering SaaS/industrial data platforms is a plus
