About the Role:
We are currently seeking Trade Qualified HVAC/Refrigeration Technicians to join our team at Great Northern Air Conditioning and Mechanical Services in Darwin, Northern Territory. This full-time position involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of both commercial and residential air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct routine preventive maintenance on air conditioning, refrigeration and chiller systems
* Diagnose and repair faults in HVAC and refrigeration equipment
* Installation of new units
* Provide expert advice and guidance to customers on the optimal operation of their systems
* Maintain accurate records of all work completed
* Ensure strict compliance with all relevant health and safety standards
* Work on residential, commercial, government, and defence sites
Key Requirements:
* Formal qualifications in HVAC or Refrigeration, such as a Certificate III or equivalent, including valid ARC licence and restricted electrical licence
* Proven experience as an HVAC/Refrigeration Technician, ideally in a commercial or industrial setting
* Strong technical knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair
* Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
* Strong customer service orientation and the ability to provide expert advice
* A valid driver's licence, White Card, Police and Working with Children Clearance (or the ability to obtain them)
