About Our Client
Our Client is a locally owned civil construction company that focuses on reliability and professionalism in delivering excavation, drainage, and civil infrastructure solutions throughout Southern Tasmania.
With a mix of field and office-based duties, the Civil Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a range of civil construction and earthmoving projects. This is a key role supporting project profitability and client partnerships to ensure practical and efficient solutions are delivered.
What Youll Bring to the Role
* Proven experience as an Estimator in civil construction, earthmoving, or related fields
* Strong understanding of civil construction methods, materials, and equipment
* Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications specific to projects
* Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel (essential)
* Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
* A practical, hands-on mindset with an understanding of earthmoving operation
* Excellent time management and communication skills
* A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar (desirable)
* Experience in Tasmanian local government and private sector tendering
