About the Role This hybrid position offers flexibility and the chance to contribute to both acute general medicine and geriatric care. You'll be working across two well-respected facilities, including a major tertiary hospital and a regional center that champions innovation in aged care. You will lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex inpatient cases, with a strong focus on discharge planning and continuity of care. This role is ideally suited to a dual-qualified FRACP specialist with a passion for culturally responsive care and leadership in challenging clinical settings. Key Responsibilities Consultant-level care for inpatients in a General Medical Unit Geriatric service across: Acute Care of the Elderly ward Geriatric Evaluation & Management (GEM) ward Interim Care Unit Active involvement in junior doctor supervision and team leadership Champion safe, timely discharge and community engagement strategies Work collaboratively within a multicultural team environment Essential Requirements Specialist registration with AHPRA Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in: General and Acute Care Medicine AND Geriatric Medicine Demonstrated leadership in multidisciplinary teams Strong communication and cultural competency skills What’s on Offer Attractive Salary Package: $248,765 - $304,012 p.a.
