The Role:
As Head Chef, you'll be responsible for the overall management of the kitchen, menu development, team leadership, cost control, and ensuring consistent high standards of food quality and presentation. You'll have the opportunity to shape the culinary direction of one of Newcastle's most exciting venue.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and inspire a skilled kitchen team, ensuring a positive, productive working environment
* Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve the restaurant's culinary offerings food preparation and presentation to ensure excellence at all times
* Manage food cost, wastage, stock control, and supplier relationships
* Ensure compliance of current operational systems in place
* Recruit, train, and develop kitchen staff
* Maintain a positive team culture

About You:
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-quality, fast-paced kitchen
* Creative, passionate, and confident in developing modern and refined dishes, that cater to a diverse customer base
* Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop kitchen staff
* In-depth knowledge of food safety and kitchen regulations
* Excellent organisational and budgeting skills
* A team player with a hands-on, can-do attitude
