About the Role:
* Oversee Kitchen Operations: Run your own kitchen and service, ensuring efficient food preparation and presentation for residents.
* Lead the Kitchen Team: Manage and support a team of skilled professionals in delivering exceptional food services.
* Fitness and Nutrition: Ensure compliance with nutrition standards, focusing on providing healthy and delicious meals for our residents.
* Menu Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to design menus that cater to diverse tastes and dietary needs.
* Inventory Management: Oversee stock management, budgeting, and cost controls to optimize kitchen efficiency.
* Collaboration: Work closely with care and hotel services teams to address dietary requirements and ensure seamless communication.
* Representative: Serve as Food Safety Officer, promoting continuous improvement and representing the service with integrity.
About You:
* Commercial Cookery Expertise: Proven experience in commercial cookery, serving large groups, and managing kitchen staff.
* Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities, with experience in motivating and guiding a team towards achieving shared goals.
* Food Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with food safety regulations and HACCP compliance.
* Valid Documents: Possess a valid NDIS Worker Screening or Police Check, as well as a Queensland Driver's Licence.
* Commercial Cookery Qualifications: Hold a qualification in Commercial Cookery (Certificate III or higher).
* Aged Care Experience: Previous experience working in aged care or healthcare settings is highly desirable.
