We are looking for a highly-skilled, committed and experienced senior executive to join the ACIC leadership team.

The National Manager, Security and Assurance is a key leadership role safeguarding the agency’s culture of accountability, integrity and compliance by enabling the agency to maintain a positive values-based integrity culture through proactive reporting, strong communication, education and prevention activities relating to ethics, fraud and corruption.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a results-focused, collaborative and strategic thinker who thrives in a complex and fast-paced national security environment. The role requires strong judgement and discretion, guiding teams to deliver high-value outcomes, and maintaining trusted relationships with stakeholders across government and other partner agencies and sectors.

The key duties of the position include:
* Support the efficient management of assurance, protective security, integrity and organisational and operational psychology services.
* Provide strategic and operational protective security support and advice to the agency that relates to the protection of information, infrastructure and people.
* Support the provision of a range of professional psychological services to promote psychological health and wellbeing and provide expert advice in support of criminal intelligence operations and organisational suitability.
* Manage resources related to the Australian Government’s protective security priorities and the delivery of key enabling protective security functions.
* Ensure the agency has a robust line two assurance framework and coordinates effective engagement with our oversight bodies.
* Coordinate with key external stakeholders including the Office of the Inspector General of Intelligence and Security, National Anti-Corruption Commission, AGSVA and National Intelligence Community agencies in respect of security and integrity matters.
* Provide high-level advice to ensure the Branch delivers efficient and effective support to the ACIC and its partners within available resources and at the highest standard expected by Government, ACIC and its partners.
* Contribute as a member of the ACIC Executive, collaborating on strategic and operational decision-making for the ACIC.

* Demonstrated talent for identifying, embracing and driving the adoption of innovative methods and practice.
* Demonstrated accomplishments in delivering innovative and transformative change.
* Outstanding communication and negotiation skills, with an ability to lead and oversee engagement with internal and external stakeholders on complex matters.
Eligibility
* Citizenship – To be eligible for employment with the ACIC, applicants must be an Australian citizen.
* Security Clearance - The Australian community expects ACIC employees to maintain the highest levels of security and integrity. Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
* Pre-Employment Screening – All candidates must satisfy an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to being offered employment at the ACIC.

The Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) is Australia’s national criminal intelligence agency. Our vision is an Australia hostile to criminal exploitation. We work with our national and international partners to conduct investigations and collect intelligence to combat serious and organised crime, cybercrime and national security threats. We develop and maintain national information and intelligence sharing services and systems for use by state, territory and Commonwealth law enforcement agencies. We also deliver nationwide background checking services to support employment or entitlement decisions to keep the Australian community safe. The ACIC Board provides strategic direction to the ACIC and represents Commonwealth, state and territory law enforcement and other regulatory agencies. Our purpose is to protect Australia from criminal threats through coordinating a strategic response and collecting, assessing and disseminating intelligence and policing information.
