Our client HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is an agency of the Ministry of Justice. HMCTS provides administrative support for the legal system across England and Wales, ensuring justice works for everyone.

Job Title: Admin Officer

Location: HMCTS Ipswich - Fully Office-Based

Salary: £12.86 per hour

Working Hours: Full Time - Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (37 hours per week)

Contract Type: Temporary (with strong likelihood of extension)

We are recruiting on behalf of our client at HMCTS Ipswich Court for a Full‐Time Admin Officer. This is a key position supporting the day‐to‐day running of the court. You'll be part of a fast‐paced team helping ensure proceedings are well‐organised and run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

* Progress cases through the court/tribunal system
* Support various court functions by following established guidelines
* Handle inbound and outbound calls professionally
* Manage and respond to email correspondence
* Create, update, and maintain records and case files
* Input accurate data into internal systems
* Prepare and organise paperwork for hearings and meetings
* General administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, and managing documents
* Book and prepare meeting rooms
* Respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders
* Remain professional, calm, and proactive in a busy office environment

Requirements

* Previous experience in an administrative role
* Confident using Microsoft Office and managing shared inboxes
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to manage a high workload and prioritise tasks
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
