Role and Team
Due to growth, we are currently looking for a Lawyer/Associate to join our Dispute Resolution team. Led by Partner, Ryan Solomons, and supported by a special counsel, senior associate, associate and junior lawyers and clerks. Our Dispute Resolution team acts for clients located on the Gold Coast, nationally and internationally with the majority of our current work being interstate. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of cases in different industry sectors such as Property, Leasing, Franchising, Consumer, IP, Commercial Contracts, Aviation, and Government. The legal work varies from complex commercial, property, and IP disputes, government regulatory work, and advisory transactions. This exposure will provide you with a broad skill set and the experience needed to excel in your legal career. We undertake a variety of interesting and challenging work and pride ourselves on providing dynamic and commercial counsel to our clients across various sectors in a people first environment.
You are already established at the 2-4PQE level and eager to contribute meaningfully to a high-performing team. You understand your role helping Graduates and more junior lawyers in the team whilst actively supporting senior colleagues. Candidates with previous litigation experience, including with less PAE but meaningful pre-admission legal experience, and a demonstrated ability to manage file loads under supervision are encouraged to apply.
You will Bring a Commercial Outlook And Strong Attention To Detail, And An Ability To Build Relationships With Clients And Engage With a Variety Of Stakeholders. You will be involved In a broad range of matters including:
* Commercial, corporate, and contract litigation in the superior federal and state courts in Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria
* Franchising and property disputes for franchisors, owners, and local government
* Building and construction commercial disputes and regulatory matters
* IP, patent, and general commercial litigation in the Federal Court
* Debt collection and insolvency
* Regulatory and government
