About the Role

The Maternal & Child Health Nurse will work collaboratively to provide a high-quality, effective service. The aim is to strengthen the wellbeing of children, families, and the community through family-centered practice.

* Promote and comply with the M&CH service in accordance with the Framework of the Department of Health Maternal and Child Health Service.
* Work collaboratively with all members of the multidisciplinary team to facilitate integrated person-centered care leading to timely and effective client discharge.
* Apply the principles of culturally inclusive, family-centered practice and primary health care to promote optimal child and family health and development outcomes.
Mandatory Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

* Registered nurse & registered midwife holding current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority.
* Post Graduate Maternal & Child Health qualification.
* Proven and significant experience as a Maternal & Child Health nurse.
* Understanding of and experience in application of the M&CH Key Ages & Stages Framework.
* Preferred leadership/coordination experience. Preferred Lactation qualification.
* Current Driver's License (evidence must be provided).
* Clear Police Check regarding any criminal record will be required prior to finalisation of the appointment and updated every three (3) years.
* Clear Working with Children Check will be required prior to commencement and updated every five (5) years.
