Legal Counsel Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned and experienced Legal Counsel to join our team in a part-time capacity. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic legal advice and guidance on various commercial matters.
Main Responsibilities
* Drafting, negotiating and reviewing commercial contracts and agreements
* Providing expert legal advice on risk management and contract optimization
* Developing and maintaining contract templates and guidelines for stakeholders
* Advising on HR-related matters and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
* Maintaining accurate records of legal advice and correspondence
* Liaising with external legal advisors as needed
Essential Qualifications and Skills
* At least 7 years of post-admission experience in commercial law
* Desirable: experience in the mining or resources sectors, with a proven track record of success
* In-house experience in a commercial environment is highly preferred
* Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
* A commercially astute approach to risk, with a balanced perspective
