About the Position
We are looking to welcome a Therapist to provide centre-based and outreach therapeutic services to parents and caregivers who have experienced any or a combination of child sexual abuse, adult sexual abuse and domestic and family violence.
The Safe Healing Service is a whole-of-family trauma-informed recovery care services for individuals impacted by FDSV providing adult counselling, family therapy, group therapy and support access to therapies.
* Full Time opportunity.
* Level 6 under the SCHCADS award. Salary range is $110,110 - $114,984 plus super.
* Government funded until 30 June 2026 with possible extension.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
* Provide centre-based, outreach and telehealth sessions across the South Brisbane catchment.
* Provide evidence-based individual adult, dyadic (child and parent/carer) and family therapy interventions.
* Provide trauma-informed, developmentally sensitive and culturally safe counselling to adults.
* Complete relevant assessments and outcome measures related to mental health, trauma, and safety.
About You
* Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and registration as needed (psychology, social work, counselling).
* At least two-years' experience working therapeutically with individuals impacted by Family Domestic and Sexual Violence and families in similar roles.
* Experience providing individual, group and family therapy.
* Understanding of the impacts of trauma on child and family functioning.
* Understanding of and experience with a Family Systems Approach and Dyadic (parent/carer and child) Approach.
Other Requirements
* Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.
* National Police Check or willingness to obtain.
* Current driver's licence.
* Legally able work in Australia (proof of eligibility will be requested).
