Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Shop Manager to lead daily retail operations, drive sales growth, and ensure outstanding customer experiences at our retail location.
Key Responsibilities
As Shop Manager, you will:
* Oversee day-to-day shop operations, including opening/closing procedures and staff supervision
* Manage, coach and roster the retail team to deliver excellent customer service
* Drive sales and revenue through product placement, promotions, stock control and customer engagement
* Maintain store presentation, cleanliness, merchandising and product quality
* Monitor inventory levels, control shrinkage and coordinate ordering with suppliers
* Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues to ensure satisfaction
* Manage cash handling, POS transactions, banking and basic financial reporting
* Ensure compliance with food safety, workplace health & safety and retail regulations
* Provide leadership and training to support staff development and performance
Selection Criteria
To be successful, you will have:
* Proven experience in retail management, preferably in fresh food, seafood or similar fast-paced environment
* Strong leadership, communication and team-building skills
* Ability to deliver excellent customer service and drive store performance
* Good organisational skills and ability to manage stock, rostering and budgeting
* Competency with POS systems and basic financial reporting
* Understanding of food safety standards and retail compliance requirements
