Position Details
* Permanent, part-time position (56 hours per fortnight)
* Role: Cleaner/Patient Transport Assistant Grade 2 (IN19)
* Location: Sandringham Hospital

Department Overview
The Support Services department provides core services including non-ward cleaning, gardens and grounds, distribution (including portering), security, ward support, food services, and car parking. The Porter role is a key operational position within this team.
The Role
We seek a motivated individual to join our non-clinical support services team as an orderly at Sandringham Hospital. Responsibilities include patient transport and ancillary duties throughout the hospital. Flexibility for night, afternoon shifts, and weekends is required. The role demands good time management and organizational skills to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Qualifications and Experience
* Previous experience in patient transport; healthcare ward support experience is advantageous
* Good communication skills
* Enthusiasm and a strong sense of responsibility
* Working with Children's Check
* Experience in site emergency evacuation procedures
