We are excited to offer a unique opportunity to join our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) program for children with disabilities.
As an OSHC Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of school-age children with disabilities at Melton Specialist School.
Your Role
Responsibilities include:
* Directly supervising children from 3 pm to 6 pm Monday to Friday during after-school care, engaging them in fun activities.
* Providing direct supervision and support to children during school holidays from 9 am to 5 pm, participating in various enjoyable activities, incursions, and excursions.
Lifely is a reputable disability service provider with 40 years of experience supporting people with disabilities and their families.
We are proud to be part of a government-funded program offering free OSHC services to children and young people with disabilities attending specialist schools in Bendigo, Melton, and Sunbury.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* A passion for child development and education.
* Experience, study, or lived experience in child services, education, or disabilities is highly desirable.
* Strong ethics, child safety awareness, and work health and safety knowledge.
* Adaptability, flexibility, and resilience in the face of change.
This role is ideal for workers, students, and carers with skills in teaching, disability, community services, allied health, and early childhood. Applicants with lived experience are also encouraged to apply.
