About the Role
We are seeking an Earthworks Construction Supervisor to lead a site-based project delivery team in regional Queensland. In this strategic leadership position, you will be responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of multi-disciplined sustaining self-performed civil earthworks capital project in line with cost, schedule, risk, environmental, quality and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversight of project civil earthworks programs, ensuring that the team of machinery operators complete works to meet schedule and quality requirements, directing the progress of work and driving compliance
* Provide daily supervision, direction and leadership to achieve targets in a safe manner for both self-perform earthworks and contractor works.
* Management of the day-to-day interface with contracting partners, providing a focus on safety and the environment, together with quality and engineering aspects
* Safety leadership in developing and maintaining a safety culture and ensuring contracting partners comply with safety policies and with all relevant HSE standards, regulations and practices
* Leadership in environmental compliance and ensuring the construction contractor complies with environmental compliance requirement
About You
* Minimum 5 years in project construction supervision in the civil construction sector.
* Extensive contractor and/or self-perform civil earthworks experience.
* Passion for developing front line leaders and a high-performing team culture
* Leadership competencies and a strong track record of HSE in the field
* Demonstrated experience in leading contracting partners in remote locations
* Can engage on a FIFO roster
* Valid C Class licence
