We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Nasca Program Coordinator. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students and community members.
About the Role:
* The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Nasca programs in schools, maintaining relationships with students, community members, and school staff, and mentoring and supporting First Nation students.
* This role also involves facilitating workshops and providing in-class tutoring, organizing physical education activities and excursions, and working collaboratively within schools and occasionally on weekends and overnight.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality Nasca programs in schools that meet the needs of students and community members.
* Maintain effective relationships with students, community members, and school staff through regular communication and collaboration.
* Support and mentor First Nation students to help them achieve their full potential.
* Facilitate engaging and interactive workshops that promote learning and development.
* Provide in-class tutoring and support to students who require additional assistance.
* Organize and deliver physical education activities and excursions that promote healthy lifestyles and teamwork.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues within schools to achieve common goals and objectives.
Requirements:
* A relevant qualification in teaching, social sciences, or Indigenous studies.
* Strong facilitation skills and experience working with children and young people.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
* Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and an understanding of their cultural needs.
* Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
* A current driver's license and working with children clearances.
