About the Role:
We’re seeking an experienced and commercially astute Business Development Manager to join this growth-focused consultancy. Reporting directly to the Director, this position is responsible for identifying new opportunities, building relationships with business owners and executives, and driving engagement across a range of strategic advisory services. The role requires a mix of high-level sales capability, strategic thinking, and a genuine interest in helping businesses scale through tailored growth, funding, and commercialisation strategies.
What we need from you:
- Develop and execute business development strategies to attract new clients and partnerships
- Identify and qualify business opportunities aligned with company expertise and target industries
- Collaborate with senior leaders to design and present tailored growth solutions
- Manage the full business development lifecycle from prospecting to close
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and pipeline progress
- Represent the business at industry events and networking functions
- Contribute to the broader strategic direction and business growth initiatives
What you’ll bring:
- Proven success in business development, consulting, or professional services environments
- Strong understanding of strategic growth, financing, or commercialisation solutions
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills at executive level
- A proactive, consultative approach with strong commercial acumen
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Tertiary qualifications in business, finance, or a related field (highly regarded)
- A genuine passion for helping businesses scale and succeed
