We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Technical Support specialist to join and support our team, on a 6-month fixed term contract. You will handle the setup and maintenance of hardware, software, and network systems, as well as resolve user issues both in person and remotely. A background in technical support, along with basic knowledge of LAN/WAN and IP telephony, is essential. Good communication and teamwork skills will be key to your success in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems and business applications.
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
- Set up and manage new users' accounts and profiles, and deal with password issues.
- Communicate staff through a series of actions: face-to-face, over the phone or remotely to help set up systems or resolve issues.
- Support video conference devices and functions.
- Support IT asset management and perform ad hoc duties as required.
About You:
- Relevant qualification or equivalent experience.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in a technical support role or similar.
- Understanding for physical assets.
- Basic Network (LAN, WAN, IP) knowledge.
- Basic Voice Network (IP Phone) knowledge.
