Job Description:
As a Telecommunications Field Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, installing, commissioning, and integrating wired and wireless telecommunications equipment. This includes installing and maintaining WCDMA/LTE/4G/5G/NBN technologies and maintenance for radio networks, CCTV, PAGA, telephony, and IP networks. You will also conduct site audits, configuration, and integration activities, including night works as required. Additionally, you will have experience with complex system integration, design, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The ability to interpret design drawings and telecommunications plumbing diagrams is essential. You will test, commission, and fault find wireless telecommunications systems, attend fault rectification jobs, and undertake diagnosis and rectification to meet defined service standards. Scheduling and prioritization of technical resources for planned and unplanned work, as well as the roster schedule for the duty tech, are also key responsibilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Telecommunications Engineering, or equivalent
* Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience
* Experience in supporting below systems would be advantageous:
o Radio UHF (Tetra), VHF, Microwave
o Radar, AIS, Satellite
