We have a fantastic career opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at our Enfield Distribution facility.
Reporting directly to the Logistics Manager, Sydney, this hands‐on salaried position will manage inventory stock control, coordinate and supervise our afternoon shift Warehouse Picker team, maintain internal documentation and registers and liaise closely with key Sales and Distribution stakeholders to ensure inventory levels meet our operational requirements. The successful applicant will be required to work 2pm to 10pm, Sunday to Thursday.
This role will also be trained to perform the duties of the Logistics Manager in their absence.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
* Operating a forklift, including loading and unloading vehicles.
* Rostering, coordinating and supervising the Warehouse Picker team to meet daily customer order picking requirements.
* Ensuring cost effective management of inventory storage.
* Goods receiving and raising purchase orders within the ERP system (Pronto).
* Ensuring that product quality and food safety is maintained in accordance with the business and legislative standards at all times.
* Demonstrating safety leadership and complying with relevant statutory Work Health and Safety obligations.
* Critical focus on Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements and compliance for all work activities.
* Developing and maintaining a proactive relationship with customers, suppliers, and the sales team.
* Maintaining inventory on hand at optimal levels.
* Managing the cyclical rotation of all inventory/stock.
* Ensuring all inventory documentation and data is accurately recorded.
* Initiating continuous improvement processes that can be adapted and applied at site and across the business.
What we are looking for:
* 2 years' Supply Chain operations experience, including logistics, inventory and warehousing operations, within an FMCG or Food Services organisation.
* High digital dexterity with working knowledge of Microsoft suite and ERP systems (experience using Pronto, Ordermentum, Optimo‐route or related systems will be looked upon favourably).
* High degree of attention to detail.
* Ability to build trust through commitment, care and leading by example.
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Agility to think quickly and problem solve in a fast‐paced environment.
* Ability to effectively coach and mentor team members.
* Experience with managing freight and related processes.
* Lead by example to introduce change and collaboration.
* Flexibility to work overtime.
* Flexibility to work public holidays as required.
