About the role
Nurse Educator
The Nurse Educator is a Registered Nurse with advanced skills, knowledge and expertise in adult education, clinical development, coordination and evaluation of education programs within mental health, alcohol and other drugs services.
The role requires collaboration, including with state level services such as the Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Branch (MHAODB) in speciality areas such as the Mental Health Act 2016 legislation, risk assessment and management, clinical supervision, and suicide prevention.
Clinical Educator
To develop, coordinate and facilitate delivery of core mental health skills training programs to health professionals and other relevant stakeholders. This position will be involved in the teaching of accredited courses, clinical skills and assessment of clinical competence.
The role requires collaboration with Hospital and Health Services (HHS), mental health service education staff, service managers, Team Leaders, senior clinicians and discipline seniors in the delivery of training. Collaboration will include state level services such as the Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Branch (MHAODB) in speciality areas such as the Mental Health Act 2016 legislation, risk assessment and management, clinical supervision, and suicide prevention.
- In addition to providing core clinical education in mental health care, there is scope within the position to specialise in areas such as the Mental Health Act 2016 legislation, risk assessment and management, clinical supervision, and suicide prevention
**Mandatory Requirements**:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Vaccinated against COVID-19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO.12/21and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
