The Brisbane Airport Hotels Group encompasses the Pullman, Novotel and ibis Brisbane Airport Hotels, as well as the Brisbane Airport Conference Centre. With 532 guest rooms, 3 restaurants, Rooftop Bar & Restaurant, Executive Lounge and 17 meeting spaces. Located at the Brisbane Airport, it is the first accommodation, meeting and event space to be developed in this precinct.
The group is currently seeking a Human Resources Officer on a full time basis, reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources. You will be responsible for working closely with Department Heads to drive and foster a positive work environment within the Three Hotels and Conference Centre.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Generating employment contracts and induction packs.
- Coordinating recruitment and inductions to meet hotel staffing needs as required.
- Accurately administrating and managing personnel documentation and employee files.
- Providing operational support across a range of HR functions and processes and contributing to team initiatives.
- Assist the Department Heads with coordination of employee rewards and benefits programs.
- Drive culture & engagement initiatives, coordinate celebration events, recruitment days, employee of the month and all reward & recognition programs
- Maintain up-to-date files of job descriptions and person specifications for all positions in the Hotels and Conference Centre.
- Conduct initial screening for interviews. Conduct telephone reference checks, police checks and place job advertisements.
- Conduct Induction and Compliance Training.
- Update, maintain and follow up on training records.
**To be successful in this role**:
- Tertiary qualifications in HR or related field preferred, however not essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- An outgoing personality with solid attention to detail.
- Proven administrative, organizational and time management skills.
- The adaptability to build strong internal and external working relationships.
- Previous experience delivering the HR function within a Hotel environment is desirable, however not essential.
