The Role
Melville SHS is seeking a dynamic Psychology Teacher to join the Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) team. The successful applicant will provide engaging, relevant, and meaningful learning experiences, with a thorough knowledge of the Psychology curriculum at ATAR level and experience delivering the HASS curriculum for Years 7–10. Applicants with a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and the ability to deliver Business certificate courses will be highly regarded.
The applicant should be highly committed, collaborative, and able to work with the Head of Learning Area and the HASS team to develop high-quality teaching and learning programs for Years 7–12. Active participation in ongoing professional learning and reflection on teaching practice to enhance student engagement is expected. The role includes contributing to strategies and initiatives in HASS to improve student engagement, classroom teaching, and student performance.

* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.

* Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
