The Opportunity Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you will support the daily operations of the Mine Geology Department, ensuring planned tonnes and grades are delivered safely and accurately. You will play a key role in open pit grade control, geological interpretation, and resource development, while contributing to strong technical and safety outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality geological interpretation and integrate into JORC 2012 compliant grade control and resource models
* Plan and manage open pit grade control programs, including QAQC, cost tracking, and reporting
* Supervise and support Mine Geologists, Graduates, and Technicians as required
* Contribute to resource and reserve growth through delineation and extension activities
* Assist with end-of-month reporting, reconciliation, and claims
* Provide geological input into open pit mining methods and schedules to optimise value
* Maintain accurate geological databases and communicate risks and opportunities effectively
* Act as the accountable geology lead when the Senior Geologist is not on site
About You
* Bachelor of Science in Geology or Geosciences
* 4+ years' experience in open pit gold mine geology
* Strong exposure to Archean greenstone and gold systems
* Proven capability in modelling, estimation, and reconciliation
* Proficiency in Leapfrog and Micromine (essential)
* Experience supervising drilling, sampling, and QAQC programs
* MAusIMM or MAIG membership (or equivalent)
* Strong communication skills and attention to detail
* WA C Class (manual) driver's licence and ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
