The position will be based in the Northern part of Melbourne and is a 12-month full time contract.We are looking for someone who can control the work packages within the projects. Overseeing and managing the work packages that are equipment based on the project, new equipment coming in, seeking the person to take responsibility for the items and see through and manage their implementation.The role will involve ensuring that testing occurs at the factory, equipment arrives and is installed correctly and that commissioning and qualification is done. The right individual will manage the process all the way through the project delivery phases. We are seeking someone who can come in and understand where things are up to and deliver to cost and time requirements.Experience and SkillsEngineering qualifications (chemical, process or mechanical engineer)3-10 yrs experience in industry in a similar role (pharma or biotech - desirable) or ideally seeking someone with packaging lines / experienceSimilar industries would be considered eg food and beverage, dairy3+ years of engineering or construction project management experience requiredExperience managing multiple projects in remote locationsStrong communication skills with customers, design teams, contractors, and managementAction oriented skills; ability to learn on the flyGood problem solving, technical learning, time management and prioritizing skillsFunctional knowledge of cGMPs and manufacturing operations in FDA regulated facilityDesign & Build specializes in recruitment for the Construction, Manufacturing, Engineering & Property industries on a national basis.
