Senior Facilities Manager Job Description
The Senior Facilities Manager is responsible for the operational oversight of a diverse portfolio of commercial office buildings housing Commonwealth and corporate tenants.
* Establishing and maintaining positive professional working relationships with clients to ensure mutual understanding and respect
* Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory authorities and implementing best practice engineering standards in relation to property maintenance, structure, façade, fittings, finishes and services
* Optimising building performance through sustainable management practices
* Driving asset performance to achieve energy and water efficiency targets as per NABERS guidelines
* Coordinating efficient delivery of property services and other works required within the assets
* Conducting regular inspections of buildings and plant to determine the extent and priority of any repair works necessary
* Ongoing management of specialist contractors to ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions and nominated scope of work
* Collaboration with stakeholders to prepare annual property operations & capital works budgets and monitoring and updating budgets on a quarterly basis
Requirements
* Proven experience in facilities management within a commercial environment
* Ability to manage high-profile portfolios
* Passion and understanding of sustainable practices
* Good knowledge of property systems, including familiarity with building services software procedures
* Knowledge of occupational health & safety legislation and requirements
* Excellent communication skills – both written and spoken
* Ability to work independently, multitask and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
* Desire to work as part of a diverse, supportive and talented team of industry professionals
