We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support a Federal Government Department, the position is primarily an engineering and project support role, responsible for supporting the management of design and implementation activities within complex communication and information systems environments. This includes providing strategic guidance for messaging and tactical data standards implementation, Common Operating Picture (COP) design, and guidance to projects throughout the full capability development lifecycle in accordance with systems engineering practices.
Mandatory
* Demonstrated experience and / or relevant tertiary qualifications Eg: Science, Engineering or IT qualifications.
* Demonstrated qualifications or specialist experience with Tactical Data Links – Detailed knowledge and implementation details of TADL formats and protocols and ability to analyse and assess vendor implementations of these formats.
* Demonstrated qualifications or specialist experience with Tactical Networking Bearers and Waveforms – Experience with the design, implementation, and analysis of tactical networking bearers, radio RF design, waveform design, and integration.
Desirable
* Systems Engineering qualification(s)
* An enhanced professional awareness of the following subjects, gained through military service, technical, industry/Vendor, engineering or coalition experience within AHQ, LCD, or their equivalent domains;
* Demonstrated experience in the operations, management, training, analysis, repair, rectification and integration of C4 systems and their sub-systems.
* Knowledge and understanding of future Land C4 integration and innovation
* An awareness of technical systems design, test/evaluation, verification/validation, configuration and risk mitigation methodologies.
* Coalition C2, as well as interoperability experience and knowledge. This exposure will be highly valued within ABCANZ, Strategic and/or Federated Mission Network (FMN) (Spiral Spec standards.
* Understanding of Land track management.
* Knowledge of DoDAF/ToGAF.
