Our client has an enviable background within our region's mining history and presents with a global portfolio of operations. They are now seeking an experienced Projects Supervisor to oversee work as part of the site's capital and operational project portfolio.
**Your new role**
As the Projects Supervisor, you will be working within a dynamic, high-performing team delivering projects to the operation focusing on value, safety, quality, cost, schedule, environment, community, stakeholders, compliance, and reporting.
In this role you will be responsible for.
- Driving a culture of safety and maintaining safe work practices by modelling and coaching behaviour that influences people to be proactive about safety.
- Setting and enforcing behavioural standards at work and ensuring all activities comply with safety management policies and procedures.
- Promote and be an advocate of a positive reporting culture which includes hazards identified are reported and celebrated. Incidents / injuries are treated immediately to ensure minimum harm to personnel.
- To provide advice and execute tasks, to deliver the approved business objectives, within the constraints of scope, time, quality, and budget.
- Coordinate Contractor mobilisation and facilitate Safe Start meetings
- Monitor and Manage the Contractors compliance
- Supervise on-site contractor and sub-contractor groups to ensure that technical and quality standard and expected site progress is achieved
- Attend and contribute to operational meetings and reporting
- Develop and plan work permits
- People management including performance feedback, managing conflict, ensuring policy, process and procedure are being followed and setting the standard through leading by example
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Experience as a Supervisor of Contractors and/or trades personnel.
- Trades Qualification - Mechanical or Electrical background preferably
- Training on S1,2,3 or G1,2,7-8-9
- Electrical or Mechanical or Civil Experience in mining, industrial or heavy industry.
- Effective Communication skills

- Solid problem-solving ability
- Construction, maintenance and operations acumen
