Our client is a global leader in packaging and recycling with operations nationally. They have two vacancies at their plastics recycling plant in Somerton in Melbourne's north. These are Monday to Friday day shift roles (with overtime available).
We are seeking candidates with Electrical trade qualifications, experience with continuous process operations, exposure to PLCs, drives and great problem solving skills.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be part of a highly skilled maintenance team supporting a major recycling initiative and contribute to a significant reduction in plastics waste in our environment.
To be considered for this role, you will have:
* Electrical trade qualifications (apprentice trained)
* Experience with continuous process operations
* Experience with a waste management / recycling site
* Good mechanical aptitude
* Excellent team work skills
* Well developed problem solving, organisational and planning skills
* Knowledge of production systems and continuous improvement
In addition you may have:
* A current forklift license (or experience).
A keen focus on Safety is absolutely critical.
New capital expenditure has been approved to meet growth and industry needs.
