Job Description
The role:
Permanent Part-Time from the start of Term 1, **** (includes one week of training/preparation from 19 January).
Term-time only.
4 days per week (Tues-Fri), 8am-4pm (possible earlier or later starts depending on class scheduling - the shift pattern is locked in each term).
Salary can be paid as worked (stood down during school holidays) or averaged across the year (paid during school holidays).
Comprised of 18 hours teaching/instruction and 12 hours of admin/coordination.
Manage and coordinate the Extra Curricular drama program across the school (Years 1-12).
Plan and teach dynamic Drama lessons that engage and challenge all pupils
,
ensuring the requirements of the Trinity syllabus are met.
Coordinate a small team of Drama tutors who will assist in teaching classes.
Liase with students, parents, and other staff to ensure the smooth running of the program.
In Term 3, coordinate five nights of selected works from all classes, and facilitate the Trinity Drama Examinations.
Manage booking systems, enrolments, timetables, class scheduling, and payments.
Desired Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate:
Experienced and skilled in various drama techniques and skills, with demonstrated acting experience highly regarded.
Experience teaching the Trinity syllabus and facilitating Trinity exams preferred (but not essential).
Strong organisation, administration, and time management skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Confident and comfortable building effective relationships with a wide audience (from 8/9yo students to parents).
A fun, dynamic, and personable team player who makes a positive contribution to the life of Kambala.
