Scotch College Adelaide is seeking enthusiastic and skilled Rowing Coaches to join our Rowing Program. Working under the direction of the Head of Rowing, our coaches play an important role in developing the technical ability, teamwork, and character of Scotch rowers across a range of year levels.
At Scotch, we prepare our students to make an impact. Rowing at Scotch is about more than competition — it builds discipline, resilience, and camaraderie, helping students grow in confidence and leadership both on and off the water.
About the Roles
We're looking for high-calibre coaches who bring strong technical knowledge, professionalism and a commitment to excellence. You may already be an experienced coach, or an accomplished rower ready to step into a coaching role with the guidance of an experienced team.
Coaching hours are rostered across the rowing season, including early mornings, afternoons and Saturday regattas. What You'll Do
* Deliver high-quality training sessions aligned with program objectives.
* Provide clear technical instruction and feedback to students of varying experience levels
* Support athletes at regattas, camps and training sessions.
* Promote safety, sportsmanship and enjoyment of rowing.
* Assist with the setup, care and maintenance of boats and equipment.
* Uphold the values and standards of Scotch College through positive role modelling and sportsmanship.
About You
You are an enthusiastic and capable coach who values both performance and personal development. You will bring:
* Demonstrated experience in rowing, either as a coach or competitive athlete.
* Strong technical knowledge of rowing technique and athlete development.
* The ability to engage, motivate and support young people.
* A collaborative approach and commitment to upholding Scotch's coaching standards
* The ability to inspire and motivate young people.
