Mobile Plant Electrician Role Overview
This is a key position in our Operations team where you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and upgrade of electrical and electronic equipment associated with mobile plant, equipment and vehicles in the railway environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspect, maintain, repair, upgrade and overhaul equipment using various testing equipment, meters, powered and non-powered tools and equipment.
* Install new electrical and electronic equipment and electric wiring according to relevant codes, standards and company policies.
* Undertake field service work and workshop repairs/duties as instructed.
* Maintain and repair electrical and electronic systems for project installations and equipment.
* Assist plant mechanics and field technicians with fault diagnosis and repair.
* Assist in the ongoing management of inventory plant spares.
* Develop the trade skills and knowledge of apprentices through mentoring, coaching and education in an inclusive environment.
* Work safely and cooperatively.
* Perform all work in compliance with applicable codes, standards, safety and environment regulations.
Skills and Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess strong technical skills and experience in electrical and electronic equipment installation, maintenance and repair. You will also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
