Now Hiring: Senior Butcher – Lead Our Seven‑Day Organic Butchery Team
We are seeking an experienced Senior Butcher to lead a busy seven‑day retail butchery, delivering outstanding customer service and mentoring two apprentices on the floor.
About the role
* Take responsibility for day‑to‑day butchery operations in a store that operates 7 days a week.
* Break, bone and prepare beef, lamb and pork from carcass through to ready‑for‑sale cuts.
* Maintain high standards of presentation, food safety and hygiene at all times.
* Serve customers at the counter with friendly, knowledgeable advice on cuts, cooking methods and value for money.
* Train, supervise and support two apprentice butchers, ensuring consistent skills development and safe work practices.
About you
* Fully qualified butcher with strong experience in beef, lamb and pork breaking and boning.
* Proven experience as a Butcher, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role
* A keen eye for detail and proven ability to lead or supervise others (apprentices or junior butchers) in a fast‑paced environment.
* Strong customer focus with excellent communication and service skills.
* Reliable, organised and able to work a roster that includes weekends as part of a seven‑day operation.
* A genuine passion for the trade, keen interest to expand knowledge and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
