Our Winning Behaviors are:Be Customer & Results DrivenAnticipate the PossibilitiesCommunicate ResponsiblyDevelop Self & OthersGet Better Every DayHOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:Under the general guidance of the Director of Fleet & Leasing Sales, this position is responsible for executing sales strategies and providing cost-effective and practical upfit solutions to commercial fleet operators throughout the entire United States.
The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for building and managing key relationships with large fleets in the territory, helping them understand the solutions that are available and the breadth and depth of Dejana product.
The position identifies and pursues new business opportunities in key markets and responds to sales inquiries from commercial fleet prospects to develop truck specifications/proposals together with leasing company personnel.
You will accomplish this by:Developing working relationships with existing and/or new customers and providing initial point of contact for customer support issues.Being responsible for meeting annual sales goals established for the region.Partnering to execute marketing programs and/or literature to help drive sales opportunities at customer partners.Actively identifying and engaging new customers and accounts within the territory.Working to meet all assigned product and distribution goals and continually look for opportunities to grow the business.Studying and understanding our product's features and benefits as well as those of the competition.Partnering to develop specifications and submit proposals for commercial truck equipment.Managing open job orders through production to delivery.Representing the Company at trade shows and industry events.Providing training and conducting presentations online and in-person.Generally acting in a customer service capacity.Other duties as assigned.The above list reflects the general details necessary to describe the principle and essential functions of the position and shall not be construed as the only duties that may be assigned to the position.WHAT WE OFFER YOU:A fulfilling career with the ability to contribute to an industry leader.A comprehensive suite of benefits.Salary target is $105,000.00Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including experience and qualifications.Competitive base pay with opportunities to earn commission based on performance.Profit sharing for all full-time employees.WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS:Excellent presentation skills and an aptitude for customer service.Detail oriented and organized with strong follow-through ability.Able to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Able to understand and relate to concepts behind specific ideas.Able to recall multiple tasks given to self and others over long periods of time.Able to communicate through written and verbal means.EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING:High school diploma or educational equivalent.Computer proficiency, especially with MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Five years' sales experience.
Previous commercial truck experience preferred, or knowledge of leasing company operation.Ideal candidate would be a member of NAFA, AFLA, or both and have existing relationships with leasing companies.PHYSICAL & MENTAL ENVIRONMENT:Majority of employment will be spent sitting at a computer station in an office environment or travelling to customers.Travelling within allotted territory throughout the U.S.Occasional work on the weekends.Required periods of walking in a shop and/or manufacturing setting.Required concentration on fine details with constant interruption and attend tasks for 1 to 2 hours at a time.Dejana Truck and Utility Equipment uses E-Verify for I-9 processing and all candidates must be eligible to work in the US.
