Role Description

As an Associate Dentist at Dental Folk, you will provide comprehensive clinical care, including examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and delivery of restorative, preventive, and basic cosmetic procedures. You will perform treatments such as fillings, extractions, root canal therapy within your scope, and routine periodontal care, while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing medical histories, discussing treatment options and costs, obtaining informed consent, and documenting all clinical notes accurately. You will collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and administrative staff to maintain smooth patient flow, infection control standards, and high-quality service. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Toronto, NSW, requiring consistent in-person presence for patient care and team collaboration.

Qualifications

* Current registration (or eligibility for registration) with the relevant Australian dental board/regulatory authority, with no restrictions impacting general practice.
* Recognized degree in Dentistry (e.g., BDSc, DDS, DMD) from an accredited institution.
* Demonstrated experience providing general dental care, including examinations, restorative treatment, simple extractions, and preventive care.
* Strong diagnostic skills and ability to develop clear, patient-centered treatment plans and communicate options in accessible language.
* Commitment to excellent infection prevention and control, radiographic safety, and adherence to clinical and ethical guidelines.
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust with patients from diverse backgrounds and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
* Comfort using digital dental systems such as practice management software, digital radiography, and electronic records (training can be provided as needed).
* Strong time management, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently in a busy, appointment-based environment.
* Willingness to participate in continuing professional development and stay current with advances in dental materials and techniques.
* Previous experience in private practice or community dental settings is beneficial but not mandatory; new graduates with appropriate supervision may be considered.
